In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus reminds us again of the need to love God and love one another. In 7:12 Jesus summarizes that we love one another best by not judging one another (vv.1-6) and finding guidance and help from God by praying to Him for help (vv.7-11). The "therefore" in v. 12 connects all these together.
