The Passover foreshadowed the crucifixion. First Fruits, which happened on the Sunday after Passover, foreshadows Jesus' resurrection, which guarantees our own when we know Christ. In the First Fruits, God commanded Israel to present to Him the first and best of their wheat harvest before they enjoyed it themselves. In doing so, God promised to bless their harvest. Likewise, God promises us a future harvest of resurrected saints because He sent His first and best in Jesus to die for our sins and who rose victoriously over death.
