Solomon takes stock and makes some conclusions based on many observations he has mad of life 'under the sun'. Only those who look at life from god's 'above the sun' perspective will enjoy life the most. We will enjoy our families, jobs and activities because we see them as God's gifts to us. Life has its trials too but again with God's perspective we know He has a purpose in them.
