We continue in our study of 1 Corinthians. In Ch. 7:1-9 Paul encourages singles to remain singles unless they cannot and to then marry so as not to commit sexual immorality. Sometimes singleness is frowned upon in the church yet God says through Paul its a gift. “Every good and perfect gift” comes from God according to James and is to be received with thanksgiving (according to Paul in 1 Tim 4). Whether we’re married or single, thank God for where we are in that and pray for us to be used to serve God where we’re at. We will also be celebrating communion.
