Hanukkah recalls a great victory from Israel's past from a tyrannical ruler. Amazingly, God predicted this ruler would come and torment Israel in Daniel 8 and 11. Yet when Jesus celebrates Hanukkah in John 10:22-42, we see the religious leaders accuse Jesus as being no different from other tyrannical rulers claiming to be 'god'! However, Jesus is God's Son and Hanukkah marks Him as the true King.
